Efica’s 2019 annual meeting hosted by Van Olst de Graaff was held in Ijmuiden, The Netherlands, on the 6th June at Cornelis Vrolijk headquarters. Enhanced by new members (MsAmlin, Skuld P&I Club, AKD Lawyers) the meeting addressed current market conditions on the insurance fishing business and unusual claims.
The Dutch fishing market was object of special attention and different issues concerning the challenges which the fishing industry is facing were analysed:

The 2020 annual Efica meeting hosted by Nacional Reaseguros will take place in Madrid on the 4th June.
Efica’s 2018 meeting was held in Portugal on the 14th June in Ponta Delgada.
Efica’s membership is composed by diverse European entities (insurers, reinsurers, P&I clubs, brokers, surveyors) who share information and knowledge concerning the insurance fishing fleet business, mainly current market conditions and exceptional or unusual claims.

Next annual Efica meeting will take place in Netherlands on the 6th June at Ijmuiden, subjects such as sustainable fisheries and labour contracts in the fishing industry will be analysed.
